Lefty Lucy to make her debut in Double Tap Studios Signed In Blood Anthology

Posted by Mike M in Entertainment

Lefty Lucy is set to make her debut in Double Tap Studios: Signed in Blood Anthology.

Lucy is a contract killer who is good at what she does and enjoys it. Events set into motion doubt about what she does and who she is. Will she be able to kick the lifestyle? Or, will it use her up and leave her to die like it has so many others?

Lefty Lucy and all characters within are copyright Michael Martin 2007. Art is by Eric Johns.

Cheeks to do Spiderman Animated character designs

Posted by Mike M in Entertainment

Over at his blog Sean “Cheeks” Galloway has announced he will be doing the character designs for Spiderman Animated. Some of you may recall him as the designer for the Hellboy Animated movies.

I met him at Emerald City Comic Con this year. He’s a great guy who has a damn good following. His lines were steady the whole weekend of the con and he deserves his success.

All the best to ya Cheeks!

Cheeks did this Lobster Johnson headsketch at Emerald City. To read more about Emerald City Comic Con ‘07, click here.

Lefty Lucy to make her debut in Signed in Blood

Posted by Mike M in Bloated Chathole

I had been holding off making this announcement until I was sure I had an artist hooked up to do the story. First, let me introduce the artist, Eric Johns.

You can find him at Comicspace, http://www.comicspace.com/ejohns0338/ or Deviantart, http://ejohns0338.deviantart.com/

He’s got some great stuff and I’m confident he’s got the chops to pull off a great story, especially after talking to him.

What Happened to Emissary (the comic no one has heard of)?

Posted by Mike M in Bloated Chathole

Jason Rand and Juan Ferreyra were the creators on a comic called Small Gods. It was a critical success, unfortunately, like most independent, black & white books, it wasn’t a big seller. They even tried to relaunch it in color, but orders came in so low that it was dead before it ever saw print.
